I usually lament a life that is governed by a weighing scale, but I realize the necessity of it especially when you reach the ripe age of forty-something, where your joints creaked when you attempt an unaccustomed movement, when every ailment alert you to all sorts of possibility and you’ll increase your hip padding by just looking at the cheesecake at Secret Recipe. It is the norm! Weighing yourself daily seems to be a small price to pay for early warning and therefore, early intervention towards obesity. Therefore, let the Lord of the Scale rules, I say!
Today I have a smiling relationship with the scale, I am down by 500gms and has exceeded my targeted loss of 10kg by a 100gms. Oh! I know it’s the lack of water and the fasting mostly contributed to it but that is the beauty of Maintenance phase! Eating right the amount of calories and the right type of food will allow us to control where our weight would be. Iftar was fish, vegetables and Nescafe with stevia. Later after terawih, I had a handful of baked cashew nuts, green tea with acv and half of a teaspoon of bubur kacang mixed with durian and half an apple. Oh! My cheating tastebud! Will definitely take my lax tea in a while!
I am happy to be at this weight +/- 500gms as Dil would say. It is a good to have a buffer against the upcoming Eid festivities where what I do is mostly socialize and eat, not necessarily in that order!
I think I will keep to this regime I am currently on with the help of MG, Jai and Dil. Thank you friends!Let's see what tomorrow brings....
