First day of fasting had me knocked out, drained and lethargic. It was the extreme thirst that got to me, not so much of hunger pangs. Therefore, for iftar today I made dishes that can I cook with my eyes closed (metaphorically of course!) which were gado-gado (the simplified version of tofu, tempe, boiled egg and assorted vegetables) and ayam masak lemak cili padi with potato. The gado-gado was eaten with a dollop of peanut sauce (seasoned with tamarind juice, salt and what else, stevia!)
Yes, I know that's a lot of protein ! :-D |
The weighing in this morning was not encouraging. I am stuck at a weight higher than my last transition day. That disappoints me but I’d rather focused on the fact that I am 9 kilo lighter than when I started, to do otherwise will just make me do something negative hehehe !
I do so want to be good during this Maintenance phase because it allows the body to reset our metabolism and has an overall weight control effect in the long term but there must be something I am doing wrong because the grams kept going up! I surely need to sit and mull over what went wrong and get some expert sifu’s input. I am so encouraged by Dila’s input, so I am going to take only protein, fruit and vegetables and keep the calories to 1000-1200 per day. I will see how that goes, if it doesn’t work then, there is always the correction day method later, in a day or two, when my body get used to fasting.
It is not easy to do a good thing eh! Perseverance, I keep reminding myself. Maybe you can learn a thing or two too… which is DO NOT CHEAT DURING YOUR TRANSITION DAYS! Heheh!
Mmm.. i think it's do not cheat at all?
