Wanting to keep to a regime is well and good, the execution, however, is a different matter! I realize what a weakling I am these days. My niece Nurul, made some pre-raya chocolate chips cookie and I didn’t want to hurt her feelings by not tasting it. I, on the other hand, after telling MG about the spinach, cheese and almond pesto decided to make it myself and experiment it on the left over spring rolls skin. I spread it between 2 spring roll skins and then cut it into long strips which I then tried to twist into a spiral and baked it in the oven (200degrees) for 5minutes. It came out nice and crispy that I had a few of them. Okay, I had a lot of them! So there!
My crispy springroll skin with spinach, almond and cheese pesto. It looked ugly but the taste is divine! |
For iftar proper, I had some roast chicken, with cabbage and 3 pieces of shrimp, washed them down with Nescafe and stevia. I don’t know how much calories I have consumed today but it surely would be more than 800kcal, so I am saving some for my sahur.
Weight wise though, I was taken by surprise again as I lost another 200gms today even after the cheat yesterday. I supposed, that was why I dared to cheat again. I gave up! I will never learn! But whatever I cheated on, it must have completed my calories intake, hence the loss!
I texted MG about it and we agreed that this is one weird diet! It seemed that if we eat enough calories,we will lose and if we don't, we will gain. Anyway, this weird diet has bring on some serious health-consciousness that was foreign to me before, which I am really thankful for!
I really am starting to enjoy this phase. Hey MG, or M(not-so-G)-anymore, you will get to this state soon enough! Just hang in there!
Hope everyone will be blessed with a good loss tomorrow! Until then, good fasting people!
