I weighed in at 800gms lighter yesterday after the steak day. Thank U Allah! I am now determined to keep the weight at the lower limit of the daily allowable fluctuations in the Maintenance phase which is +/- 1kg from the last weighed on my last transition day. I have been texting with MG and Jai and both of them told me to eat 800-1500kcal per day otherwise I will lose protein and retain water and in consequence get bloated up and put on more weight rather than lose or remain stable. So, 1000kcal per day here I come! Boy…. I never thought I will be going through a not-enough-calories-intake phase in my life… I’ve always been over-the-limit-calories gal!
For iftar yesterday, I baked some salmon marinated with tandoori spices and made a salad of tomato, cucumber and red onion seasoned with salt and pepper, cabbage in coconut milk and sambal belacan with mini spring rolls with chicken, carrot, cucumber and turnip filling. I just had about 200gms of the salmon with the salads and by the time I forced in the last bite I was feeling nauseous. I texted MG and she supplied me with the calories count, which was only around 350-400kcal. So, I munched an apple and had half a glass of low fat milk to try to add to the calories.
I had the left over salmon with the salad for iftar, lesser quantity though and a handful of cashew nuts and 4 medium sized strawberries. I was ready to throw up but pushed them down with water and water. I do not like feeling like this and I worry about going down the anorexia route. I will try to make something really special for me today so I could eat normally.
I am so not enjoying my Maintenance phase :-(
not baked yet! My daughter and son helped to put on the little dots! |
Today, I am making some pineapple tarts. I know it is too early for Raya but my niece will not be around the last weekend of Ramadhan, and there will be less pair of hands with the cookie-making later, I might as well do it now. It is also good to test my will power! MG said I am masochistic! Ah well... No pain No Gain!
